About Us

Our co-operative started as a group of language instructors united to evacuate our mutual Arabic teacher and her family from Gaza. We’ve been working together since December 2023. In May 2025, we established Orange Blossom Education (OBE) to provide consistent and sustainable support to Palestinian families and mutual aid groups, creating job opportunities for our community members in the process.

Orange Blossom Education is a registered workers co-operative based in Tkaronto (Toronto).

  • We offer university-level courses that emphasize reflexivity, critical thinking, and discussions on social issues.

  • We strive for fair compensation for our instructors while building a supportive and empowering community for learners.

Our net proceeds go towards:

  1. Assisting Palestinian families in need

  2. Supporting Indigenous-led initiatives on Turtle Island

We have also listed the grant(s) we've received below which helped us with covering operational costs so that we can keep going. We’re always working on offering more interesting courses. Thanks for supporting us.

Our name is inspired by the beautiful orange flowers that bloom in Jaffa City, Palestine.
